Do pods really make it from your sump to your DT?

I'm just imagining a hapless pod wandering away from its cozy refugium, up a glass/acrylic weir wall, down the other side, strolling along and poking around a GIANT, loud return pump and WHOOSH, sucked up and spit out into the DT to be met by snapping jaws on the other side.

Does this really happen? How many pods are really getting sucked out of the sump and spit into the DT? Or do most just stay put in the sump?

Pod: "Oh, so much food and tons of frisky business going on here! I think I'll take a walk over to that strange roaring machine that no one ever comes back from."

I'm thinking of adding Tigger pods to my Evo 13.5gal observation tank so that the wrasse hanging out in it has something to eat over the weekend when I'll be away. If I dump them in the AIO chamber, will enough of them actually get shot out of the return pump so that the wrasses gets a decent meal?

Thanks!

Spawning copepods have a phase that takes them through the water column. If you’ve got a safe place for them to reproduce, they’ll inevitably end up in the DT. Your dump will restock your DT every time they spawn.
