Do I need to have actual “caves” or are hiding spots in an NSA Scape sufficient ?

Very nice looking aquascape, i have both and it seems with new fish and some gobies they like the caves. My tang and damsels seem to prefer the false cover and my SS goby made his own cave under my rock work. I think what you have will be great but I’m no expert.
