Just got my Zyltech order in! Very quick turn around.

I could punch whoever thought this sticky protective film was a good idea though.

And their connectors and screws are trash. I'll have to order connection plates since my original idea won't work.

My connectors from Controlled Dynamics are way way way better and stronger. You don't need those odd looking plates to connect anything together

Wondering what a 5 or 6 foot stand would need re: vertical bracing.

Here is my plan from Chris Benner. It uses 4040 and 4080 extrusion and some seriously beefy connectors.

I'm not sure I would trust Zyltech's connectors on a large tank unless I spoke with them and they knew how to design with it.

I'll add a review with some thoughts on the floating canopy frame I just built in another post.

The OP states that you need M5 hardware for use with the 3030 rails, but it's actually M6 hardware that's needed. M6 spring nuts and M6 bolts for use with the 30 series rails. just FYI.

Just designed and ordered my first purchase from ZYLTech. Floating canopy with black 2020 extrusion. It was half the cost of 80/20.net

I will say 80/20 had some other options that were nice but the differnce was $173 vs $340. Not a tough choice. Now I just hope and pray I thought it all out LOL. Thankfully, Amazon has odds and ends if Home Depot doesn't.

Wish this post would have been made a year ago. I was looking at T slot for a couple stands and was referred to 80/20 but got turned off on the pricing. If I could have done my stand for close to half their quote I would have jumped on it. I guess my bad for a lack of research.

After using Zyltech, I wouldn't use them again if being honest. Their connectors are poor and there is a lot of guesswork on what to buy.
