DIY Stand

Rough assembly on the stand for an IM EXT100 is done. Time for final fitting of the doors, some sanding and paint. Then on to placing the tank and the new sump so everything can be plumbed. Hope to be finished in a couple of weeks, time permitting.

is that a slide out working surface ?
….say it isn’t so
…. if I may offer, a muffin fan in that equipment bay might be useful for mitigating electronic fails and rusty equip.
Air holes would even be a upgrade

Sort of a happy accident. I built the stand about 7” deeper than the tank so I could set it close to the wall. Plumbing will drop through the top, so obviously I can’t have the door slide all the way to the back.

Ventilation is definitely on the list, I just haven’t found any grilles that look good and are reasonably priced. I planned on opening up the sides so I can have the stand close to a wall. It’s looking more and more like the stand will get vented in the rear, and the stand won’t be as close to the wall as I’d planned.

Thanks. Definitely will share. New sump arrives today, hopefully final sanding tonight and maybe tomorrow. Then I’ll set the tank and the sump for plumbing mock-up by the end of the week.
