Hey everyone,
Ive been looking for a cheaper alternative to NOPOX and ive been doing research and there is no consensus recipe.
I was wondering what recipe with proportions is best.

Thanks

There certainly is a complete understanding of what NOPOX is. No uncertainty there. It is mostly ethanol and acetic acid, and smaller amounts of methanol and isopropanol.

What there are varied opinions about is what organics people actually choose to dose. Most folks who DIY use vodka, vinegar, or a mix of the two. What is best may depend on what strains of cyanobacteria are present in your tank, and if either of these cause an issue with it.

I started with vodka, cyano increased, and switched to vinegar. Both, however, are fine choices.
