Ok Thanks! Do you know if the Buddie Rodi has that? And if it doesnt could i just buy a hand tds meter?
I went out and looked at the buddie and appears it does not come with tds meter. If you go this route be sure and get the 4 stage for water used in saltwater tanks. The 4 stage should give you 0 tds. And yes you can buy a hand held tds. Attached is my set up. How big is your tank?

I have a 5 stage 50gpd from purewaterclub.com which cost $100. With the size of ur tank and WC you will probably need to change your filters once a year maybe a little more. A complete set of filters minus the membrane runs $40. I did find 6 sets of the 1st 3 stages for $40 on Amazon which will hopefully stretch my need for new DI.

I have a 150 and I evaporate 7 gallons a week not counting WC

Ok thank you! Do you think I could go one week without topping off? For example, topping the saltwater tank off every 7 days?
I evaporate about a gallon to 1.5 gallons per day. I have a ATO and as water evaporates ATO (automatic top off) replaces it real time and makes matenence easier. Keeps specific gravity perfectly stable. To answer your question depends on if your specific gravity rises over the 7 days. And it likely will... daily is better. There are 2 types of ATO, gavity fed and pump.

I did the RODI ATO direct using a solenoid valve to turn on the water feed to the RODI. This ended up not being the best idea because the solenoid valve kept getting stuck open after the ATO cut the voltage. I think my water pressure was too high for the cheap solenoid valve. I wouldn't recommend anyone running ATO this way.

Very clever. You could uook a pump and turn that on and off .... just buy a good one. Lol
