Yep. Sbreeflights makes some4 foot Led fixture?
I posted a link to an sbreeflights LED bar. Do you think this would work?I would, as @Flippers4pups said, I personally wouldn't use an LED strip light, i'd look something more into the black boxes or sb reef lights. If you'd like to go fancier with control AI primes or hydras are always great

Your corals dig it?I use the sbreef actinic sbar (their 4' led fixture), and absolutely love it. It's not a stand alone fixture by any means, but is great for supplemental light. I use it along with 5 T5 bulbs...but am planning to dump a T5 bulb for a 2nd actinic sbar.

Good growth? Could you post a pic or two?Yes I think they look better with it...plus you get a little of that glimmer effect with LEDs.
That is more for adding supplimental light to existing fixtures. Looks similar to the reef brite led strips that get added on as supplimentationI posted a link to an sbreeflights LED bar. Do you think this would work?
Do you think it would add enough light? That is more for adding supplimental light to existing fixtures. Looks similar to the reef brite led strips that get added on as supplimentation
It's really hard to say. I'm not familiar with those fixtures and the par they put out. Lets see if any #reefsquad members may know I'd hate to say yes or no and be wrongDo you think it would add enough light?
Thanks! Id rather not buy a whole new light kit. It's really hard to say. I'm not familiar with those fixtures and the par they put out. Lets see if any #reefsquad members may know I'd hate to say yes or no and be wrong

Ah, ok.I don't really have any good pics...I'll try to get some this week though if I can. But as mentioned earlier...they're more for supplemental light...not necessarily for growth. That's why I run mostly T5s.

What fixture we supplementing ?It's really hard to say. I'm not familiar with those fixtures and the par they put out. Lets see if any #reefsquad members may know I'd hate to say yes or no and be wrong
This is what I have. What fixture we supplementing ?
4 bulb t5?
Assuming a good fixture, each t5 is about 160-175par at 12 in.
So 600 or so. PLENTY for a 18 24 in deep tank.
Each SB bar is basically a t5 par wise as far as I have seen.
Yea, the sbars would be good. This is what I have.View attachment 921552View attachment 921553
Would they help with corals?Yea, the sbars would be good.
Uh, yes.Would they help with corals?
My reef pi should be able to do that once it's done being built. Which bar should I get?Uh, yes.
The spectrum mike uses is darned good.
You could do a whole tank with them.
You mix that with the t5 and you should be just fine.
At some pont , you should borrow or rent a meter , par or a good cheap lux meter just to see where you’re at with intensity.
IMO , try to get a controller of some sort and use the led as a first ramp. You can do like 2 hrs in the am, then the t5 come on for 5,6 or 8 then the led to ramp down.
A timer for the led bar is fine too as it’s really not that much light.
The blues bar. I’d try to get one the size of the fixture. A little shorter won’t hurt if price is an issue. My reef pi should be able to do that once it's done being built. Which bar should I get?
