Just did some more water testing and still not sure what to make of it. I know that nitrates are low and phosphates are high. I'm working on getting an algae scrubber built, but haven't had the money for the pump yet.
Previous: Salinity 1.027, pH 7.88, Alk 7.9, Ca 420, nitrates 1.57, phosphates 0.07
Current: Salinity 1.027, pH 8.07, Alk 7.3, Ca 490, nitrates 0.10, phophates 0.45
All reagents are current. Hannah checker used for nitrates and phosphates. Salifert used for all others. pH read by meter off controller.
I'm currently not doing water changes. I tried it for 6 months and the critters in the tank all looked worse (except the GSP, but it can live anywhere). After I stopped all corals looked healthier. One SPS of unknown type also had a bite out of it that regrew after stopped water changes.
Edit: I feed one cube of frozen and 1/8 tsp of reef roids daily.
