I have been fighting dinos issue for almost 6 months now, I’ve tried copepods, phyto, blackouts and raising nutrients, nothing seemed to cause a dent. However, in a matter of a few hours, my dinos have completely disappeared and my tank has never looked so clear and clean.

Due to a malfunction I recently replaced my heater. This new heater was oversized and raised the temperature to 32 Celsius for two days, which I “unfortunately” didn’t catch, upon returning my tank back down to 24 C my dinos vanished overnight. They’ve not returned for two days.

Was it the temperature that caused this to happen? How can I make sure they don’t come back?

I’ve read that elevated temperature does knock them back.

Make sure you have truly detectable nitrates and phosphate. If they still come back, I’d grab a uv sterilizer. The uv is what fixed it for me.
