Hi All,

I have my tangs QT'ing in Cupramine since Sept 16th. About 25ish days into QT, noticed that my Naso blonde had a white spot on it's tail fin. A few days later a second spot appeared on the tail fin. and today a new spot has emerged on one of the pectoral fins. Upon research here on R2R I believe it to be lymphocystis but I'm unsure. Can someone help me out here with a diagnosis & the appropriate protocol. Pics of spots on tail fin attached(took these a week ago & the spots have persisted)

Water Params:
NH3: 0 ppm
NO2: 0 ppm
NO3: 20 ppm
Cupramine: 0.51 ppm per Hanna checker
Vinegar dosing w/ 45 ml per day a lil after starting QT
Food: Garlic infused Nori everyday, Spirulina Brine Shrimp/New life spectrum pellets/Mysis shrimp - either of these every day
Apperance: All fish appear to be active, healthy & happy, no other signs of disease
Other tankmates: Small Yellow tang, Small Blue Tang, Sailfin Tang, Kole Tang, 2 clowns, Diamond goby

This appears to sand or light case of lymphocystis which is viral. Do keep an eye on it for increase in dots both in numbers and location each 24 hours. The fish is slightly thin.
Is it eating for you?

Eating like a pig & is quite active as well. I thought sand in the beginning too, but being in the same spot for a while makes me thing some sorta disease.

What can I do to help if it is lymphocystis ?

Lympho is a condition and not disease. Often its associated with water quality issue as simple as elevated ammonia or nitrate and can be that of water from LFS and not yours. Assure to provide Good water quality monitored by a reliable test kit and feed nutritious food with fats such as LRS nano frenzy and mysis shrimp.
