does anyone here have any experience with a Desjardini Tang eating Bubble algae... the LR that came with my tank is starting to get some bubble algae again after scraping what I can see before I put it in the tank... I only feed once / day with frozen brine or mysis or Rod's Food or Spectrum Pellets...

tank is 110g with this livestock:

- HI Flame wrasse pair
- Rhomboid wrasse
- Snowcasso clownfish pair
- Helfrich's firefish
- Blue Dot jawfish

I'm really considering a Desjardini Tang since I've heard they help in maintaining the bubble algae in check... of course, I'll start supplementing Nori for his snacks... :)

watcha guys think?

i had a bad case of the red bubble algae then i got a Salfin Tang. He would eat it off the rocks or floating through the tank it didnt matter.

The only thing now is tonight i seen him nip at my sps i dont know if he was getting the coral or something off of it. I quickly put some nori in there for him

I hope I get lucky with the one I choose!!! I've also heard that Naso tangs will eat it too... I might get both to double my chances... worse case scenario is I'll have to catch them after a year or two (or whenever they outgrow the tank) to give them a better home... :)
