On a 45g tank and sump with about 10g of actual water volume, do you think the 600i will be a good fit or should I hold off for the 400?
I have time before the tank will be running so waiting for the 400 wouldn’t be an issue if it’s a better fit.

Any updates from the people using this skimmer? Do you still like it, ect? Do you think it will work on my RS reefer 170, or is it too big for my tank? considering getting the 600i.

I had my SC 1351 (which I believe the 600i is the replacement for) on my Reefer 170 and it was great. Maybe a little overkill, but once tuned in, it pulled some of the nastiest stuff I've seen out of my tank.

I wouldn't hesitate to put a 600i on a Reefer 170, but the 400i might save you a little dough and still do a great job.

I also have a 1351 it skims great, do you have to keep something on the lid so the foam doesn't lift it off?

You may consider skimming a tad "wetter" sometimes really dry foam can do that lol. it's impressive for sure but not exactly ideal

I have a 1351 on a 75g and I've never had to keep anything on the lid. I keep the water level between the neck and the collar of the cup and empty weekly.

My 400i has been on my new tank 9 days now and is still pumping loads of micro bubbles out... Anyone know how long this will last?

And as for the 400's I have an order in progress, but I am not sure if there are any available in the states yet, I may be wrong though

I’ve seen the 600i with sine wave, just wasn’t sure about the 400i as it’s a different pump

I’m considering a Deltec 400i or 600i for my 93 cube with 24 gallon sump. Which do you think would be more appropriate?

HI there Thanks along for the post. , I wouldn't go smaller than the 600 on over 100 gallons, and i may even consider the 1000 actually. Please let me know if you have any other questions

Some news on availability as well for those interested.

Will be excepting the 400 and more 600 available to ship within the next month or two. I have been assured they shipment finally left Germany last week, and is headed for the US.

@Battlecorals Should we go through you or Deltec directly for spare parts for the skimmers?

Also, does Deltec offer replacement lids for the skimmer that do not have the neck cleaner attached to it? Was hoping to have a normal lid so I can attach an automatic neck cleaner on it.

Why should I consider the 1000? I’m new to Deltecs.
