Hello Everyone!
I'm excited to share this build with you
Since starting up my 15 gallon system I began researching my next tank and quickly realized that what I wanted did not exist so here I am!
Given that I'm new and know full well I'll be upgrading and trying different gear/setups. I decided to go with a utilitarian build.
I'll be using acrylic panels for mounting the controller (Apex) and other equipment. Since it will be mounted to the extruded aluminum I can adjust and move gear around as need.
I also over built the stand for the additional room and the ability to add a larger tank if I choose to do so. So long as the tank is less then 40 inch's long all I have to do is add wider cross braces to accommodate the larger tank (UNS 90S tank). The rails on either side of the tank are for hanging utility containers for tools, baster etc.
The build consists of the following so far:
Aquamaxx 22 Gallon main display (peninsula config)
Aquamaxx 17 Gallon for sump (Building chambers this weekend)
Aquamaxx WS-1
Aquamaxx AF-1
Aquamaxx Sigma 1 (Carbon ROX/GFO mix)
Eshopps Low Profile Medium Overflow
Apex Cor-15 Pump
Custom 2040 Extruded Aluminum stand w/light mount and rubber feet
BRS Titanium Heater x2
Ink Bird Controller
A LOT OF PLUMBING!
Items to purchase still:
AI Hydra 32 x 2 (Still researching/deciding) So many great options on lights!
Innovative Marine 5 gallon ATO Reservoir
Tunze 3155 ATO
Apex Pro controller
Apex Trident?
Apex DOS (AFR/AB+) still deciding...
Wood panel for the tank base and bottom of stand will be coated in Flex Seal to protect against water damage.
Looking forward to sharing this build with everyone and seeing where this adventure leads!
P.S. The Tank acquisition syndrome is real!!!
Cheers
