One of the inspirations for getting into reefing was being able to keep weird stuff I couldn't keep in freshwater - especially invertebrates. Turns out a lot of invertebrates are either nocturnal or hiders or both. Anyone have suggestions for day-active invertebrates?

Skunk cleaners are the most outgoing, imo, but occasionally, you may get a shy one. For snails, nassarius are interesting to watch, the way they come out of the sand whenever food are present. But ime, if you have fish that pester them, they will turn nocturnal

Hermits are out all the time.

Pincushion urchins are great. Visibile most of the time and have great "personality ".

One my emerald crab got used to the tank we see it a lot. The first month or so we never saw it.

An urchin is on my wish list once the tank is "mature" (around 1 year old). :D

Mantis shrimp are a blast to watch.

They do limit your stocking options a bit but they are one of the coolest inverts.
