Was wondering if you thought the light coloration of the chalice rim is the start of it beginning to bleach out. It is on the lower third of the tank with light to moderate flow, but maybe the light intensity is a bit much for being a new addition and not having it on the sand bed upon initial introduction? Also received another Chalice recently and it arrived curling up, more arched like a cup. I read this could be a result of lack of flow?

Typically the rim or the growth plate of a chalice will be lighter or potentially a completely different color from the main body. These guys tend to show skeleton at the rim if they’re not doing well. The tissue on yours looks healthy in my opinion.

I keep mind under a rack in my frag tank. It doesn't need much light in my experience
