Does anyone else have a darker colored one spot fox face? Mine is supposed to be a one spot but he’s always had a darker coloration to his back. Most of the ones I see in the pet store are bright yellow with a black spot. His spot kind of blends into his darker back. Does that change as he gets older? He’s healthy as a horse (and kind of reminds Me of one in the face lol). Just curious. The dude is a master at camouflage when he wants to hide!

They are camouflage. Usually they turn dark and pale at night and if spooked by something. Here is mine day vs night.

He actually gets really dark on his upper half when lights go completely out, but I didn’t have a good photo and its daytime at the moment…

That’s good to know! My guy stays pretty dark across his back pretty much all the time. At night, he goes like full splotchy rock camo.

Mine is supposed to be a One Spot, but in two years his colouration has not changed from this:

He's a big fella now, a good shape and seems happy. He has a varied diet, including nori and dried macroalgae. So I dunno...
