Because your tank is begging to cycle. Nitrite is irrelevant in reef aquaria. During cycle process measurable nitrates is what you want. Add ammonia if it reads 0 in 24 hours and you have measurable nitrates then the tanknis cycling fine.

Are you 100% sure you are reading the test correctly? It would make more sense to have ammonia and nitrite without nitrate at this point…
Yea I’m reading it correctly is light blue there no nitrite I have around 2ppm to 3ppm of ammonia and around 10 to 25 nitrate

Are you ghost feeding? That seems like a lot of nitrate for early cycle. It could just be nitrate directly from food you are adding rather than nitrate converted from ammonia by your cycle. And its a lot of ammonia, so I’m kind of leaning towards your cycle hasn’t really started to take off yet.

Was any type of bacteria added? If so, which? Do not add any more ammonia currently.

Yes I did I added dr Tim’s one and only
Ok let the tank donits thing. When ammonia reaches 0 add some more and 24 hours later it should be 0 again with measurable nitrate production. You should be fully cycled at 2 weeks. You have rock in your tank right? For bacteria colonization.

Once ammonia hit zero check your nitrate again. If already getting high it's probably not necessary to go another round with the ammonia. The amount being dosed is way more than a new fish will add.
