Cycling a new nano tank and I’m getting foam and lots of bubbles on top of the water column why I did a fishless cycle with dr Tim’s ammonia and bacteria in a bottle oh and my rocks are starting to get a fuzzy white substance on them

Would you post a picture of the white fuzz and the foam under white light?

Looks like the system is growing bacteria. Could the foam be a result of the bacteria growth? This would be unusual for a system with no organic material (e.g., fish food) being added

What bottled bacteria did you use and what is the ammonia level?

I had a similar experience starting my tank on a smaller scale though. I just blew off the white fuzz with a turkey baster, and left the bubbles alone. The problem fixes itself.
