Does anyone know if its possible to cut a fleece roll in half?

I'm thinking about 3dprinting and designing a reefmat for my waterbox cube 10. But all the fleece roll I can find here are a minimum of 8cm.. which should fit but barrelly. I want to cut let's say a red sea 250 in half but want to know if that is possible and what the best way to do it is.

Thank you!!

I've been using just a kitchen knife for many years to cut fleece rolls.

Are you sure that you need a light saber for this? Maybe just do it? :)

Thank you for this reply:)

I've never hold a fleece roll in my hands that's why I asked:)

What brand of rolls do you use:)?

I wanted a fleeceroller for a while but find them really expensive. I came a cross a diy option and I saw how simple the design actually is, and how simple the electronics are I thought to my self I can make that myself since I own a 3d printer and know how to use tinkercad.

Just wanted to make sure:)

Usually, "AliExpress" freece rolls, 25–40 m long.

But before, I bought a 100cm*100m spool of fleece in a textile shop—the same material, just bigger.

All this stuff is easy to cut with a sharp chef's knife.

There is only one issue that you can face: you need some experience to cut it straight.
But you can use some pvc pipe from a hardware store as a conductor.

Great!

I ordered some to try out:)

The pvc pipe tip is actually a very useful tip thanks!

Yeah, I doubt most of these suggestions would be needed. It's just a fabric roll - I've run similar material through a band saw easily, and a sharp kitchen knife would also work pretty well.
