Curious On What You Like To Watch in Reefing Vids?

I know a lot of Reefers here loathe YouTube videos, but for those of you that watch them, what do you like to see? I’ve been thinking about my own channel and realized that watching another hobbyist can be pretty boring.

For me, doing things like a podcast, product reviews, and talking with industry pros is not really feasible because I am a hobbyist, and not in the industry. But maybe I should just leave the video making to those folks, and just enjoy my tanks? What do you think?

I started making YouTube Shorts just cause it’s approachable and doesn’t take a huge time investment. . . but I haven’t kept up posting regularly which I want to do eventually. . .

If you are interested in making content that may be a way to go.

As far as what people watch. . . ? My most “successful” (most viewed) video was just a clip of a hammer swaying in the current with music behind it??? Not sure why haha

As far as what I personally watch. . . Nothing reef related really haha sometimes I watch an @Tidal Gardens vids and live streams but not too much anymore.

Actually that helps a lot and puts it more into perspective for me. I’m not interested in making content, selling products, getting validation, or seeking notoriety (Not saying you are either). I just wanted to share my experience and try to help others. But perhaps making videos isn’t the best way for me to do that since most people have different expectations with them altogether. Thanks for your feedback!
