Hi guys, i've thrown some bleacher rock in my main aquarium for a month, i would like to rescape my nano completely (takje out 100% of rocks and thrown in the new one....15g nano rocks are heavily is colonized by aiptasia).

Someone in here told me 1 month of curing is enough, what i was wondering if i need to acclimate the rock in the nano water. any hint?

Just to clarify the situation…you placed bleached aragonite in your aquarium 1 month and are now asking if it has acquired the necessary bacteria and number to consume ammonia when it is placed in an established nano which has a sand bottom. Did I get it?

Yes and no, i placed bleached aragonite in my established aquarium sump. Some in here already told me that after one month in the sump they should have already the necessary bacteria to consume ammonia.

What i am asking now is if i need to acclimate those rocks (like "drip acclimate") before putting them in the other aquarium?

No. You can just put them in. What is the rationale given for needing to acclimate rock between two tanks presumably with the same source water/parameters?

Assuming it's been in your sump - it should have some bacteria that consume ammonia on it. However, you cannot say how much of that bacteria is there - nor how much ammonia it can consume. There is no reason to 'drip acclimate' those rocks. - assuming the aquarium they are in - has normal water parameters

Thsnks. Water parameter are similar, the aquarium where they are going in have lower alk, other than that they are pretty much similar...i've just (i don't know why) tought to treat those bacteria and pods as other tanks inhabitant and so was better to acclimate them. It made sense to me even tough i told myself that was weird.

Thanks. Bio load is very low (just a couple of ocellaris and 2 BTA + some snails). Tanks is around 15G. I will keep dosing bacteria for few days, just in case.
