Bulbs (in order from rear to front)
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Coral Plus
ATI Blueplus
ATI True Actinic
ATI Blue Plus
ATI True Actinic
-I chose this order because I wanted high par in the rear to mid of the tank for my Acroporas and low par at the front for my Acans, Chalices, Blastos, and certain Montiporas.
Feeding
NLS Pellets
Omega One Flake Fish food
Self-prepared Fish Food Mix (Mysis, fish eggs, krill, Cyclopeeze, shrimp, Silversides)
Self-prepared Coral Food Mix (BRS Reef Chili, Oyster Feast, Grounded pellet and flake food, Reef Roids)
-I feed the fish pellets and flakes daily through automation. I feed frozen when I get a chance but it mostly occurs on weekends when I am home most. It balances the feeding out and gets them used to eating dry food when I am away on travel. The coral is made into a paste for the lps and zoanthid corals. I tend to add a little more water for the sps. The self-prepared fish food is made into a mush, flattened, frozen, and served similar to the way herbivore algae sheets are fed to a tank. Because there is no water and only meaty foods, it remains together as fish tears pieces from it and gobble it down.
Notes
-A lot of my corals are recovering from issues during the move to my new home as well as some tribulations that occurred in the setup before the move such as color loss and M.E.N.
-I switched from ESV 2-part additives to the Fauna Marin Balling Light System because it seems like a better move since I do not do WC as much as I need to.
-I was originally bare-bottom but decided to run sand when I moved and so far, I have been doing a better job at maintaining the sand due to the use of the Eheim Quick Vac Pro.
-For now, I am trying to stop adding corals to the tank. *Fingers crossed* My goal is to not to touch the tank unless their is an absolute need.
- I may remove (1) Blue Plus Bulb and change it out for either Aquablue Special or another Coral Plus bulb. My tank is too blue considering I have (2) Reefbrite XHO blues attached.
*Soon to be removed
*Future addition(s)
