I just saw that he candy cane shrimp I thought no longer lived is alive and using the same burrow my court jester goby sleeps in every night. Has anyone experienced this as well?

This isn’t a natural pairing, in fact it’s probably not a purposeful pairing either. These fish will burrow at night and use either their own burrow or someone else’s. That is correct. They have not paired, but tolerate each other's presence at night.
