So I'm always curious to know which corals will kill other corals. I've learned several valuable lessons after few years in the hobby and have saved some pics of what happens WHEN CORALS ATTACK!

Post pics if you can, names and or genera will help too. Lets try to make a database out of this.

Round 1...fight!
Acan Echinata VS. Chalice ... Acan Echinata WIN

And the damage on the right side of the Echinata was from a Discoma mushroom.

Thanks for sharing!
I caught my bubble coral going after my hammer a couple times. Fortunately never saw any damages. I've had to redo my aquascape a couple times just to find room for the bubble where it won't sting anything.

Here's an older one of mine, acan echinata vs. Kenya tree. The acan won hands down.

I think the acan echinata wins over pretty much every other coral...it's like the grandmaster of coral war.

I would tend to agree, it will beat "most" corals...Except for this rhodactis mushroom. If you look closely at the right side of that Echinata there's a bit of skeleton showing from being stung in an earlier battle... sorry no picture of when it happened.

I used to see coral warfare and first thought that came to mind was separate them! But, what's an extra few seconds for a photo? :)

This thread is WIN ! Its one of the most important things to know in this hobby because war = toxins released to the rest of the tank , lets see more !!! Also the Acan Echinata is like the Bruce Lee of corals especially the WAR paint ones , ours here is pretty much OP and must be kept from everything .

I don't see this talked about a whole bunch but this is a great thread idea! :)

I don't have any good photos but my theory (after seeing goniapora are aggressive) is mine attacked my orange mushroom. I noticed he has a bunch of dark spots littered over him and didn't think it was a water or light issue

The photo below was probably 3 days after I moved him. I forgot exact date.

Unfortunately I didn't get a pic but Monti Cap vs. Red Planet - Red Planet WIN. I'll definitely get pics next time for this thread. I love it.

Here's a pic I found. I've since cut away some of the Monti. It actually looks to be more of a tie.
