hello all,
im a hobbyist and i dont live in the USA.
im gonna be traveling to the USA for work and i would like to pick up some frags to get along to my country.
my question is, what kind of corals can survive the longest shipping transits (30 hours)?
how should i pack?
any insight would be welcome
regards

It really depends on how well they're packaged. I'd first make sure you can bring these into your country.
i want to carry very small plastic containers and pick up smallest frags possible. is there a way to improve packing?
thanks

I am unsure on how shipping works, I did a little bit of research but from what I have heard, going to a LFS and asking if they have an international shipping license for them to ship out would be easier.

International travel .. your issues will be customs … for example … there’s different rules and regulations for wildlife for each country and necessary permits

I would suggest that you talk to the many reefers in your country which frags they have found to be the easiest, and what the requirements are. Then I would verify with the government. From what I am reading importation of 'animals and animal products' are restricted. Any export of coral - including dead coral is prohibited.

For a more simple answer to your question - I would check with some of the shippers (and many of them have posted videos on their best way to do this). The cargo holds of airplanes are around 20C - meaning a heat pack may be helpful. Hope this helps.

Hello. Makes sense to be ready in advance rather than trouble at the airport.
Thanks. I will check with my countries regulations.
