I have two also over my 40 breeder and just bought a couple Noopsyches to add to them.

The fluvals don’t put out a lot of par. Especially if you turn down the whites since the white LED’s make up about half of the total LED’s in the strip. My lights (36”) are rated at 48 watts each but when I had them turned up they were only running at about 24 watts apiece. I had my white and red at 15% and the rest at 100%.

Long story short, you might put your coral on top of your rocks, turn up your other color channels or get some more lights. I noticed that my toadstool and frogspawn started looking much better when I did that.

I still think you're better off just continuing with the water changes until your nitrates come down.

@ReeferTang44 i rented a par meter today. I’ve been wanting to for a while and finally got the chance.

I know you probably have the 48” fluvals and I have the 36” but maybe this pic will give you some more data.

I was going to say that your light settings are really low but I wanted to use the par meter today and get some numbers.

So I put my two fluvals on your settings and spaced them about 4” apart (4” gap between the lights.)

I took the par measurement between the lights (in the 4” gap) at 6”, 12” and 15” below the lights.

My sandbed is at 17” and the meter is a couple inches high so 15” is as far from the lights that I can go.

6” = 106par
12”= 75par
15”= 60par

Hope this helps
