Because the environment in your tank isn't providing the coral frag with what it needs.

A person doesn't die of starvation after not eating for just 24 hours; it would take weeks. The same is true of your corals.

You are placing corals in an environment where they are being starved of the necessary, life-sustaining elements. Over time, this kills them.
Makes sense I’ve been working on gathering a perfect tank so since my hammer is closed its still alive cause it opens every now and then but have not purchased any coral until these metals are fixed.

The tank honestly is too large to tell if there is any deaths due to tin i do see empty shells but there are many hermits and snails in the tank and sometimes a hermit will get to one of them. But i will have to look for that when i get home from work. But you can see some large snails on the glass in the picture. I haven’t seen any change in there behavior in terms of algae eating or movement.
Ok, bring nitrates up to 10 also. LPS need this level for nutrition. Try and verify your salinity also maybe a second test at the LFS just to make sure your calibration is good.

Are you using tap water or RODI?

This is interesting. Have you double checked your salinity with multiple sources? The low calcium level hints at a possibility of salinity being lower than what it is reading. I don't see many SPS/LPS and see a bit of coralline growth, so there is something sucking it out of the water, but my salt mixes at 440 CA , and depletes slowly from that point after a water change.

Link says it's more common with flex PVC and that GAC will remove it but that I'm skeptical about.
My whole tank is hard piped and it can leech for years so how would i be able to completely remove it

Am i gonna have to wait for it to leech out completely or replace it?
Cuprisorb will take care of it.
Changing pipe won't help unless you use hose. Maybe silicone?
There is a thread about types and how much different types leach. Let me see if I can find it.

Well we are jumping to conclusions here because all our tanks are the same. We all should see tin then and I show none from ICP results 2 days ago. Do you have flex tube off your pump?
