Hello, new to reefing. Any advice would be appreciated. Started a new tank in 2/24. Have a couple clowns , coral beauty, blenny, carabean long nose puffer. Just recently about 1 1/2 months ago added 2 corals a hammer and from what I believe to be a Encrusting Horn Coral(might be wrong pics attached, didnt know what it was and store owner mislead me thinking its lps) realized in about a week something was off with the horn coral, it started to close up, did a couple of water changes purchased coral specific water from local fish store, and it started to make an appearance after about 1 week or so but not fully would still close up, then the outside and inside started to turn brown, but would show a sign of life. So I narrowed it down to potential lighting which I changed a couple days ago, since I did not know this was a SPS coral. After some research. The coral seems to be coming out more now in the last 2 days with the new light and location I put up higher in the tank, cause the hermits were all over it.
My question is the outsides of the coral seems to be dry and breaks off easy should I remove all the outside dried parts or just leave it as is?
This was when I first got it.
This is before changing light
You can see on the right side bottom where the brown broke off when moving coral.
