Hello, new to reefing. Any advice would be appreciated. Started a new tank in 2/24. Have a couple clowns , coral beauty, blenny, carabean long nose puffer. Just recently about 1 1/2 months ago added 2 corals a hammer and from what I believe to be a Encrusting Horn Coral(might be wrong pics attached, didnt know what it was and store owner mislead me thinking its lps) realized in about a week something was off with the horn coral, it started to close up, did a couple of water changes purchased coral specific water from local fish store, and it started to make an appearance after about 1 week or so but not fully would still close up, then the outside and inside started to turn brown, but would show a sign of life. So I narrowed it down to potential lighting which I changed a couple days ago, since I did not know this was a SPS coral. After some research. The coral seems to be coming out more now in the last 2 days with the new light and location I put up higher in the tank, cause the hermits were all over it.
My question is the outsides of the coral seems to be dry and breaks off easy should I remove all the outside dried parts or just leave it as is?

This was when I first got it.

You can see on the right side bottom where the brown broke off when moving coral.

Finally got reputable equipment to check parameters.

Ph. 7.7
Calcium 482
Alkalinity 10.6 dkh
Ammonia. .05 ppm
Magnesium. 1350 ppm
Nitrate Hr 57.4 ppm
Nitrite. 17 ppm
Phosphate. .90 ppm
Tank temp. 79 degrees

Keep in mind this is a new light only been in use for about 1 week, hm electronics 120w
Based on the photon app on the blue and red led setting which is the highest reading it's showing about 310 on the top coral that is potentially sps and about 150 on the hammer coral.
Flow I would say about moderate on the sps and hammer is constantly with 2 clowns on it and moving all the time, flow hits it slightly.

Going for a lps tank well originally until this unidentified coral purchase that was misslead to me by the sales at the LFS.

Seems that some parameters might be on the high side phosphate, Nitrite, Nitrate.

I feed 3 times a day,
2 clowns
coral beauty
lawnmower blenny
Carabean long nose puffer
Fire shrimp
Sandshift starfish

royal gamma (passed about 1.5 weeks ago due to getting stuck in between rocks over night by the time i found her in the morning hermit was eating her face, had to take all rockwork apart to get her out) this might be the cause of the higher ammonia.
Any help thank you in advance.

Forgot to mention normal water changes about every 2 weeks last one was done about 2 weeks ago about 20% , before that was weekly same 20% for 1 month, trying to see if it helps the coral any. Should be doing a water change tomorrow.
