My reef tank has been setup for 2 years now. I got my first frags 1 year ago. Most of the SPS corals I received a year ago encrusted the rock a bit and then began growing and branching. But the coal in the pic below has grown only a little and a made couple new branches. The majority of growth is encrusting the rock it sits on. Any insight into this particular growth? Thanks.

Corals grow to take advantage of the situation. Light, water flow, and available nutrients impacts the corals decision on how to grow. If its growing, imo that’s good.
