It is that time once again for the annual coral fragging workshop and raffle. I will purchase dozens of colonies from Australia or Indonesia and will demonstrate fragging them, until the event they will be at The Reef Gallery or at Bryan's house. At the end we will raffle off all of the coral with proceeds going back to the club to try to recoup some of the coral/shipping costs. The last 2 years were a smashing success with hundreds upon hundreds of frags going out to new homes. The thread from the last 2 years has pictures showing the sheer amount of coral that was up for grabs.

We plan on doing it a bit different this year as in years past we have had a hard time taking off a thousand plus frags before dark. We are going to show up a few hours early and pre frag a lot of the stuff so that the demonstration portion will take less time. If you would like to volunteer to frag stuff prior to the start I am thinking we will start around noon.

We plan on doing the demonstration from 3pm - 4:30pm and then doing the raffle from directly after. We will be setting up on @acer patio and you all need to bring chairs and set up in the yard. Raffle tickets are $1 buy as many as you want.

We will have our annual Board of Directors Elections between the fragging and the raffle. We could really use new blood and new perspectives. I personally have been president for 5 years and a lot of us are getting burnt out.

You are encouraged to bring excess coral that may have outgrown your tanks that you would like to donate or need time up and you would like a piece of back in smaller form.

This is what is in the second box arriving tomorrow. The supplier photos are gone from their list, but here are a few that are very similar to what we are getting.

I’m coming home from vacation on Saturday. The raffle is a can’t miss event. Last year was my first and I brought home a ton of frags that were awesome!
Yeah man, I just think that people who haven't been to it before just don't understand how many hundreds upon hundreds of frags we give out at the event. It's like if you have been there is like you said a can't miss event.
