what looks like a sinnularia is a member of the leather group and requires moderate light but more important medium water flow. Blow its surface with a turkey baster and direct water flow towards it- Not at it and it should perk up.This coral that I do not know the name has been closing up most of the day. It does open.
I’ve had it over a month and this is more recent. I’ve tried it in different spots.
Do you think too much light could cause?
I have noticed a new head coming out. Could that cause it?

Dont forget- you promised to cut a nice piece for me to take home !!These will often close up especially in higher light. However it looks healthy to me. I have one that is at very high par and is very happy.View attachment 2993655
