Placed this Copperband in my quarantine tank 3 days ago and after I put him in I noticed these brown patches on his body. He’s eating mysis and brine shrimp. Does anyone have an idea what this is?

Oh man, you have to act fast with this one. CBBs have a tendency to develop "red sores" on their sides. And that may be what is beginning here. Once the "red sores" develop things go badly real fast.
To avoid the situation, I keep NFG powder on hand and start dosing asap.

Thank you! I’ll see if I can track some down tomorrow.

The red sores look like uronema, but they are some sort of bacterial infection. NFG is a faster working antibiotic. If necessary, you can also treat with the "trifecta" of Kanaplex + Metro + Furan2, which are much easier to source.

Thank you. Looks like the trifecta I can get today. Fingers crossed!

Pulling for you. CBBs can be a real challenge. Consider adding Beta Glucan to the food. It tremendously boosts the fish's immune system. And with the bacterial infections that seem problematic, every weapon we can use is a good thing. Here's more info:
