gave first dose of Prazipro Sunday morning. Ate a little bit later that evening, but now shows no interest in anything I put in since then. Does seem to be slightly less active since.

Have had him for a bit over a month, and has ate a mix between live blackworms, frozen mysis and brine 3x daily.

All water parameters are in normal range per Salifert test kits.
Plenty of aeration that is breaking surface tention.

What to do next? TIA!!

One of the side effects of prazi is appetite suppression I do believe. If the fish starts getting too skinny, water change to bring medication levels down until it starts eating again.

These fish tend to be finicky. Any unusual behaviors such as shaking its head or fluttering its fins or elevated breathing?
Can you post a video of fish under white light intensity?

Every morning when I would turn the light on and come to the tank with food, he would shake his head a couple times. I’ve read a couple people have the same thing so I just assumed it wasn’t an issue could be wrong. Has since stopped since prazi treatment.

I haven’t seen any unusual behavior minus that. Only thing different is he seems a lot less active

The spot on his back fin is the remainder of the lymph that is clearing up. Also turned off filter and air stone to get a clearer video.

Thank you for clear video and as suspected, it has mouth damage which may have occurred from netting at place of purchase, collision with glass or other injury (you can see the curvature on upper lip). It can or may heal on its own but to assure no infection occurs, you can use Ruby rally pro safely. If it swells or becomes red, treat with seachem neoplex

I do think he is a bit on the skinny side, he has gained a lot of weight since I got him but definitely not there yet

You said since the day you got him- again, I suspect injury from netting and may have run into glass when netted. Weight loss not yet significant
This is how beak should appear when normal:

Gotcha. So when weight loss is significant, should I stop prazi? And if I stop prazi, do I have to restart the whole prazi cycle over again?

Praziquantel and its solvent are degraded by bacteria in 3 days or less. Copperbands also aren’t sensitive to prazi, so I’d say this is coincidental, but I can’t tell you why it went off feed. The most common issue with prazi is lack of aeration, but you’ve ruled that out.
Have you dosed copper yet?
Any other tank additives or medications?

You could back off of the Prazipro for now. Let the fish finish healing and gaining weight. Then resume later. Beautiful fish. I have had mine almost a year. Such personalities.

Yes sir I ran coppersafe @2.25ppm per Hannah copper test kit for 30 days then did water changes until it was gone.

No other tank additives or medications
