Hello, it seems my pod culture has exploded as there are countless pods on my glass panes. It is to the point where I need to scrape them off so I can fully see inside my tank. What would be a good pod eater that doesn't only feed on pods and can eat prepared food if the pods run out. Thanks.

Can you post a picture? If they’re just copepods they’re not harmful as you probably know. In my tank my wrasses and mandarin goby both chow down on some copepods.

They're too tiny my phone camera can't pick them up but I'm sure they're copepods. I know they're not harmful but the pile up on my glass faster than algae.

How old is the tank? My tank exploded with copepods about 3-4 months after I set it up and then calmed back down to just living in the rock. I have a paddlefin wrasse, leopard wrasse, and mandarin goby that also put in work.

The tank is 7 months old but the rock/sand is going on 4 years

After looking closer most of them are actually tiny starfish. Anything that would feed on them?

That's two different critters with two different potential predators.

Many small fish will happily eat copepods. Heck, a springeri or yellowtail blue damsel would probably go for them pretty aggressively.

There isn't much that will eat asterina starfish. Manual removal is best for those, but post a pic- let's make sure they aren't hydroids or such.

I'll try but I don't think my camera will focus on them because they're so small

Yeah I can't get a good picture at all. But I actually don't think they are asterinas now. They have a circle for their main body and 5 tiny limbs.
