I'm all about cool and useful products, but $200 for a 'waste collector'? Just wow. I just saved myself $200 by drilling a hole in the lid of a reef crystals 5 gallon bucket.
I'm selling my 'budget waste collectors' for $75 plus shipping if anyone's interested

Yep, it's an easy DIY project! We use an old reactor here in the office which is mentioned in the video at 0:58.

We use an old vinegar bottle for a nano tank as well with the Reef Glass skimmer. :)

I like using collectors that are pretty fool proof in that they have an electrical shut off and a mechanical shut off so generally these cost quite a bit more than a DIY kit! Plus I can't build stuff! HA!
