Hi all.
Anyone converted their RS to metric? I have everything including the unions to convert. To plumb this I need to cut my bulkhead (threaded the unions are slip)? Reason I ask is I will be plumbing out the back and through the wall to the sump. the included plumbing is too long to route out back

Photo below
Blue line is where the thread stops on the bulkhead. reason I can’t go out the back with the RS plumbing is the stand (red line) won’t allow.

thanks and happy reefing

I'm trying to replumb my tank as well. I ordered this part

Red Sea Reefer 450 & XL-425/525 Aquarium Replacement Sump-Pump Return Connector 20-25mm Part # 42222

The 2 pieces come apart and allows you to place a 3/4" threaded to 1". I haven't gotten them yet, but it's supposed to work.

I think it will give you just below the threads. If you cut the threads then you will never be able to remove the pipes from the bulk head for clean or if there's a problem. If that is what you are trying to do.
