I have this condy that my dad bought and he sent me a picture and at first I thought it was bleached but I did not know. Also he bought this for the purpose of hosting a clownfish. Should we buy another one or what should we do.

Condylactis come in a variety of colors, white is pretty common. They are photosynthetic but require feedings and will eat fish and inverts.
This anemone has a potent sting and is not a natural host of clowns. Some stubborn clown and domino damsels will however reside in one.

No Clarkii and Maroons will reside as will Domino Damsels, as will any clown able to tolerate the sting, but a Condy might also eat that fish. Condylactis does not host clowns in the wild.

Condy's are one of the anemone's that will leave your finger/hand numb if you make contact with it to varying degrees depending how sensitive you are to it. Very "sticky" tentacles (teeny tiny spines) and they WILL grab things that come into their area like feeding tongs, etc., or even fish.

Condylactis will not host clownfish, and will possibly eat them if the fish tried. The color is likely just fine, sometimes they may have colored tips.

They actually will host clowns and damsels. Images of Condylactis hosting clowns are easily had. While I feel they are not an ideal host by far, some clowns and damsels feel differently.
