I have a CoolPix 995 and when I take pic's at my friend shop some tanks come out pink/purple and others look fine what happens and how do I fix it... see the pic of the Cling Fish, the first is as it came out of the camera the second is after adjusting it with photobuckets editing tool

Assuming you aren't/can't shoot in RAW, are you adjusting the custom white balance from tank to tank? The color temperature will be different from tank to tank, even if all tanks are lit with the same types of bulbs. White balance can also change within a tank.

I hate to say it, but I think your camera is the problem. Most digital cameras have a terrible time with our tank lighting, and a Nikon 995 is a rather old model. Early camera sensors had severe limitations with color balance, and dynamic range, I think you are asking the camera to cope with conditions that are just not possible for the hardware.

Is this the camera you have?

That's it......... I don't seem to have problems when taking shot's in my tanks and I like the Macro shot's I'm able to do so I guess I'll have to live with it
