I am resetting my tank and upgrading from 20 - 45 gallon in the process. I have two clowns hosting my Goniopora and are now hosting it in my new 45 gal also. Since I am doing a reset I only brought the coral I really wanted to keep to the new tank and my rock has room. I decided to get a Rainbow BTA as there isn't as much to kill if he walks. With a few days in, the new BTA is doing great!

The problem is the Clowns are still hosting the Goni and don't care about the BTA. I think its cool where ever they decide to host but would really like to get them in the BTA but honestly at night they are back to sleeping in the corner and not the Goni in the new tank..

So the question. Do I..

1. Move the Goni hoping they will not follow it and decide to host the BTA instead?
2. Remove the Goni totally so all that is left to host is the BTA?
3. Give up on these clowns hosting the BTA at this point and start with two new fresh Clowns in this tank?
4. Do nothing, Clowns hosting a Goni is just as cool?

I just wasn't sure if at this point these clowns may never host a BTA now that they found a substitute. I know of many ways I can go through to get clowns to host a BTA; I'm just wondering if anyone feels that it might be a lost cause with these two now?

BTA’s aren’t the greatest for clowns. Some will take to them eventually and some never will. Magnifca nems are a much better option than bta’s.
