I've had a pistol from my lfs for a few months now that was sold as a red banded shrimp and would supposedly pair with my aurora goby. Turns out it decided to live under my green bta instead of burrow in the substrate and my little goby hangs out alone. I was able to see the shrimp enough to realize it's a red carribean, so that would explain the anemone vs pairing with my goby. My question is, can I get another pistol shrimp for my goby without issues between the shrimp? I read mixed things. I've also noticed my clowns paying a lot of attention to my green bta and the pistol snaps that them. I want the bta to host them, but I'm worried the red xarribean will be too territorial. Any advice is appreciated! *please excuse my messy tank. I have to clean and move things around a bit but have been sick with covid.

if the tank is big enough, i don't see an issue with adding another. i would try and introduce the 2nd pistol after lights out near the hide of where the goby is to help with pairing.

red banded will/should pair with that goby.
