Hey guys so I currently have BTA that’s being hosted by a black clownfish and it’s partner has tried to host it but she ends up chasing him out of it. She’s the only one that’s resting on the anemone at all times so I was wondering what do I do so the other clown won’t feel left out? And so there won’t be any aggression in the tank. Should I look for another bta and see if the other clown can host it?

Personally I would see if I could get a bigger bubble tip nem ( instead of one more ) as it would mean that the female feels like there is more room for both of them

In the case I’m not able to find a large anemone , what would you suggest to do? I’ve been reading that it’s a 50/50 shot when it comes to mixing BTAS

Maybe for now just keep feeding the nem until it gets bigger that is probably your best shot

I agree with Tang fastic, I feed my RBBTA twice a week and it has doubled in size in just 2 months

My maroon did this to her male for a few months. But then one day I looked in and she had let him snuggle up in her nem next to her! They will figure it out

I have several varieties of BTA in the same tank. Started as 3, now I have 9  . My female maroon claimed all 3 for herself initially and would get really really mad when the male tried to even swim by one. Now they both travel for nem to nem and snuggle together in them all. They have their preferred one though and usually both sleep nestled in that one. Let them figure it out. The nem will grow and they’ll become used to each other.

I wouldn't worry about it. I had a pair the female never let the male in. He hung out under the nem. Clowns don't need nems but it is fun to watch them interact.
I agree with @OrionN about feeding, they may grow or they may spilt. In my 180 I went from 3 nems to almost 50. Fortunaly I wasn't keeping coral at the time. Once I thinned them out and stopped direct feeding they started to grow and stopped splitting. I fed mine nothing but light and what they got out of the water column for years and they grew huge. I would just let the female do the feeding.

Thanks you guys for the great advice! I’ve already started to spot feed the anemone some brine shrimp. Going to do this 2-3 times a week and looking forward to it getting bigger!
