Hi I’d like some help my clownfish has literally just died they have been fine for the past 3 months and was fine last night, I was messing with the sand and re arranging the rock work to suit the needs of my new mushroom corals not getting blasted with flow, they were both perfectly healthy last night no damage or health issues what so ever I removed some fake plants which they was hovering around but there is plenty of rock work for them to hide in so I don’t think it’s a panic issue, I have woken up this morning to find him lay on his side on the sand bed struggling really bad my cleaner shrimp tried to clean him and clean all inside his gills but if I’m honest I think this may have been what’s sent him over the edge, any ideas on what it could be? My water parameters seem fine

Other clownfish is totally fine healthy and swimming around

0-0.1 Ammonia
0.5-1.0 Nitrite
30-40 Nitrate
Sal 1.025
Temp 26C

here is the pics

How old is you tank, its possible that moving or digging up of your sand could have a release of Bacterial toxins,
It also looks like his fins were picked on, is that normal?

What are your tank inhabitants? Did you change the rock work a lot if so could it be it got spooked and tried to go under a cave or something and ran into the rock?

If you have other fish look at them, are they doing ok, eating, breathing well etc. If they are in great health i wont be confident you released something from the sand bed

Looks like many fins are damaged.... could your other clown have beat it up?
It’s actually the other way round this was the meaner clown could it be potentially moving the plant work has forced them into another area where my regal tang and wrasse sleeps?

Every other fish is fine, my other clownfish is fine no fin damage just a little pale but he has always been this way since getting him, what could it be? Even my regal tang is fine which I know are worse for dying off
