Hey folks,

I have a clownfish in Quarantine currently and noticed from a while back that a bump like spot appeared near its chin which initially went red but been growing slowly after redness had disappeared. (initially thought it was from injury). I added another wee fella recently that now showing similar symptoms with stringy poop. They still seem to be eating well and swim around in the tank - at times have noticed the larger one settles to the floor...

I don't have much in terms of availability of medication where I live, but keen to learn what I can do potentially to save the wee fish.

will add pics

Cheers,
Jaymesh

has the fish been often rubbing itself (in the front) against the glass - it almost looks like a growth from that or some other repetitive injury/behavior. It could have been infected and now a scar is left (especially with the redness) - I would watch it - and any other symptoms or problems with any other fish?

I agree, looks like a rub mark to me also.

Thanks all for your helpful responses :) they have definitely been rubbing against the glass a fair amount, other smaller fish had long white stringy poop yesterday and also showing a wee bump below the lip.

I will check on it and monitor in my quarantine tank

Cheers
Jaymesh
