Tanks fairly clean and new
Yes this is one of 3 DT I have lol. This is my first tank 20 galThey look like they are sleeping. Are these fish in a different tank than the 75 that you set up 2 months ago?
Tank is approx. 6 months old, using a Fluval canister filter and a protein skimmer.Tanks fairly clean and new
What is age of tank?
What filtration are you utilizing and how are you testing water?
I suspect a newer tank with possible spikes occurring as well as oxygen if using a power filter only for filter
A video- you tube version under white light intensity may provide some clues
Sorry sir thank you for the reply, I did attach all of this info below! When did you set up the tank? How big is the tank? How long has the fish been there? What type of filtration on the tank? What are the water parameters?
Please share more info so that people can help.
Im still suspecting water and i asked on filtration because it seems you may be slightly under-filtered and API kit can be tricky producing false readings. I encourage you to take a water sample to a shop that does Not use API kits and see what readings they come up with and to compare with yoursTank is approx. 6 months old, using a Fluval canister filter and a protein skimmer.
haven’t seen any spikes lately, testing with apis test kit. PH 8.3, no ammonia or nitrites, nitrates at 20ppm. expiration is good
just left for work will provide a video shortly!
In terms of other tests outside of the basic 4, i did apis reef master kit which tests for calcium, carbonate hardness, and phosphates. Everything came back in the normal range. Not sure what your opinion is on these tests from api, if you have a better suggestion I’ll get one
Also not 100% on water quality, I buy rodi water from a LFS. Have a BRS 5 stage plus system on the way
Please post a clear video of the affected fish.and these too:
Not op, just showing him spots that I think r ich or somethingPlease post a clear video of the affected fish.
Oh, O.K., sorry - I was waiting to see a video, the photo isn’t clear enough to see anything. Not op, just showing him spots that I think r ich or something
I don't see anything in your testing that is going to cause this type of symptom. Did you QT the fish? Are there other fish in the tank? While I think it's never a bad idea to re-check tests - especially if they are 'off', 1. It looks like there are lesions on your fish, 2. API errors (which IMHO are just as common as other tests) are often false positive (i.e. high ammonia, etc) - not 0.Tank is approx. 6 months old, using a Fluval canister filter and a protein skimmer.
