I have 2 clownfish in my 65g tank. I’ve had one of them for a year, it’s always been the dominant fish in the tank. I got another clown, roughly the same size but slightly smaller, maybe 5/6 months ago. At first they were pretty good with each other, then the original clown would be aggressive. It was nic the fins of the new clown. Over time it stopped being so aggressive, but it still will lunge at the newer clown. I find the newer clown stays in the corners a lot, or just away from the other one. Should I bring the aggressive clown back?

Trios dont really work… I had one by accident I thought would work out. But my female chased and killed her original male for the smaller male. I would take the new clown back and leave it at your original pair

There’s only 2. I have the original one (aggressive) and then the newer one. Sometimes they are always together then other times the aggressive one is aggressive towards the newer one

You can add the aggressor to an in tank acclimation box for a couple weeks. This gives the injured time to heal at the same time giving the other a time out.

Oh okay. Yeah let it play out but put the aggressive one in an acclimation box if things get bad and let the new one get comfortable

I've had female Percula get mad at her males--killed two of them without warning. Unfortunately, aggression is completely normal and hard to predict, and even harder to stop altogether.
