Likely stemmed from an injury and from rocks. If medicating the quarantine tank- Remove the rocks.
Treatment will be Maracyn for at least 5 days

This is reef to reef and not Humblefish and epsom salt is a remedy for goldfish and freshwater as there is already salt in saltwater and would not make sense. Injury has been mentioned and proper remedy

Sorry to offend you by offering advice different than yours, but…

The Reef 2 Reef post that I linked was replied to by Humblefish, a member…

Epsom Salt isn’t salt. It is Magnesium Sulfate. So yeah, it does make sense to use it, in a saltwater tank.

Saltwater contains magnesium sulfate and humblefish while a great guy has not been a member a few years. Look at the posting date and we have a medic team here for a reason. Epsom salts can be used as a purgative for marine fish, but it needs to be supplied in the diet.

Since it’s just one eye, it’s probably from an injury.

Humblefish has suggested the use of Epson Salt in this thread.

Edit - sorry, I see that's been answered.....

Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) is an often mis-applied treatment. It only works as a bath for freshwater fish - adding it to a marine tank has no benefit because seawater is already very high in those ions. You can dose it orally for marine fish to treat certain internal infections.

That has fairly low antibiotic activity, I would use Maracyn 1 / Erythromycin. However, it can take some time after the treatment for the eye to fully heal.
