Clown fish with small red spots

Hello! I have a pair of clowns that are acting like normal but the female has 3 small red dots on her side. I have had them for about a year and they are currently the only fish in a 300 gallon tank. I am getting some more fish next week so I wanted to check and see if this was something that may be contagious. They are kind of hard to see in the pictures because the spots are so small. There is one right in front of her tail spot and in the middle top of her back

This can and may be from injury or more likely bite marks if another clown present. To further assess. need closer pics as fish appears a little thin but also to clearly see dots

Here are some better pictures. They seem like they are eating ok, but I did just switch them from flakes to pellets so that might be part of it

Is it a pair and are they mated? If not, it could just be from fighting

They were sold to me as a mated pair and they have lived together for the last year without incident. They are also in a 300 gallon tank so there should be room to get away from each other if needed. I have been working on cleaning the rocks near their favorite spot in the tank so that may have spooked them recently.

Yes, looks like bite marks or even urchin spine puncture marks.

Yes, looks like bite marks or even urchin spine puncture marks.

Thanks! I will keep a watch on them and see what happens. I don't have an urchin but the rocks where they are have a few sharp edges and I think one of them may have moved slightly when I was cleaning. It might have hit her when it shifted.

Hopefully she will heal up fine.

Should heal on its own and non disease.
