I just noticed that both of my clowns have black spots all over their bodies. They appear to be the only fish with these spots. They both seem to be acting normal.
In the tank I also have a bubble tip anemone, pulsing xenia, and some zoas.

Known as hyper-melanization stems from stings such as anemone or coral like hammers. Its cosmetic and You dont need to treat with anything as it will self heal and allowing the clown to become accustomed to the sting from host

if theyre hosting the nem, it might just be stinging them a little bit, my clown hosted my old nem and had those spots and now shes mostly black with orange on her face and tail end : p

It’s funny I haven’t really seen them even go near the bta. I bought it hoping they would host it but the bta setup shop on the opposite end of the tank from where the clowns like to hang out.

ahh the thrills of BTA ownership, they might have brushed up against it at night or when youre not looking. I hope you get some luck with them hosting!
