I woke up and did my normal routine with my fish. They were all swimming and waiting for food. I feed dry food to start off with and all fish ate. Test calcium and mag. Tested all other parameters yesterday. I dosed a little mag and Microbacter7. Now my clown is breathing heavy and resting on bottom. All other fish are happy and swimming around. Not sure what could be happening. Any ideas?
Phos: .03 7/4/24
Alk: 8.5 7/4/24
Ammonia: .12 7/4/24
Mag: 1350 7/5/24
Calcium: 410 7/5/24
Nitrate: 8.2 PPM 7/4/24

I will try my best. She does get up to swim and I just saw some pieces of pellet come out of her. Not sure if it was from mouth. Could she of ate to many at once?

Ammonia a little elevated as you want .025 or below. May be one. With other fish behaving normal, look also at salinity, temperature and any signs of injury you may have missed.

Salinity is 1.025. Should I do a water change right now? She is still swimming and resting at bottom. Temp shows 78 on my heater.

When did you get the clown? Was it or the rest of your fish quarantined. The history of how things develop is often the most important. I don't know why you would do a water change - except for the ammonia - what test was it - normally ammonia should be zero - and - if an issue - should apply to all fish. Which test kit did you use to get the ammonia result.

Having said all of that - changing water is not likely to 'hurt' the situation. This might be a stupid question - since a magnesium problem should affect all of the fish - but - did you happen to recheck your Mg after? Mg commonly causes neurologic/fatigue symptoms if overdosed. Since you're saying I did x - and after x the fish went from normal to a problem - the likelyhood is that the change is causing the problem. The fish, for example could (depending on how you added it) have been hit with a high dose locally of Mg

I have had it for three months roughly. None of my fish were quarantined. I don't have another tank Unfortunately. I would only do the water change to lower my ammonia a little. I have read that it's normal to have a little ammonia. Mine is a little high. All of my test kits are hanna except for mag and calcium, they are Salifert. I did not recheck my magnesium afterwards, I only added 10 ML of red sea mag. I agree it's strange that after adding the fish went downhill. My daughter is telling me she notices the clown on the bottom. She is home more, but I still don't think it's normal.

Water change never hurts but the level 1.025 is perfect and quarantining may not have prevented this but always a good practice at least moving forward.

So my clown still decides to rest at the bottom an breath heavily throughout the day. It's resting at the bottom less. But if I walk up to the tank, it swims an acts normal. All other fish are still active and all are eating normally. I feel like the clown should of died already if it was something. Does anyone have the same issue with there clown?

My clown is still doing this and it's been weeks now. She still eats fine, and she only rest for a little at the bottom. Could this be amyloodiniosis, or marine velvet disease? Would she still be alive at this point? It's been almost a month.

Velvet and ich should be visible on the fish. If velvet, fish wouldn't have survived as long as it has though.

30 second youtube video and photos taken under white lighting are necessary before any real advice can be given.
